PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a man died following a late night shooting in Portsmouth.
The call came in at 11:47 p.m. for the incident in the 300 block of Broad Street for a man with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The victim identified as 23-year-old Vernon Norvell was sent to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Officials say Norvell’s family has been notified of his passing.
