POQUOSON, Va. (WAVY) — A Poquoson man was arrested following an investigation into possession of child sexual abuse material.

The Poquoson Police Department conducted a search warrant on a residence on Volunteer Trail on Friday. They did so in conjunction with the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Virginia Attorney General’s Office Forensic Division and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

Poquoson Police launched an investigation once they received several CyberTips through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The execution of the search warrant resulted in the arrest of James Lindsay, 34, who was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, 10 counts of reproduction/distribution of child pornography and 1 count of use of communications systems to facilitate certain offenses involving children.
