NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — One person died Monday following a single-vehicle crash in the Bayford area of Northampton County on the Eastern Shore, Virginia State Police said.
Around 5:34 p.m., State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash with injuries on Bayside Road, south of Bayford Road in the Bayford area of the county. When a trooper arrived, a 2023 Toyota Corolla was found off the road with extensive damage, State Police said.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the driver, later identified as 34-year-old Jered Lee Reno, had been ejected from the vehicle and died as a result of his injuries, State Police said.
VSP is seeking to find anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have been in the area of Bayside Road and/or Bayford Road prior to or after the crash to get more information about events leading up to the crash.
