RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC/WAVY) — With just over two weeks left until Halloween, many are on the hunt for the perfect costume. From characters from newly-released films to old favorites, what’s trending in Norfolk?
Through “Google Freightgeist,” Google Trends is breaking down this year’s spookiest searches to better understand which Halloween costume ideas are the most popular.
According to that data, in the Norfolk region, the top five costume ideas for 2025 are:
- Rumi, from “K-Pop Demon Hunters”
- Labubu
- Zoey from “K-Pop Demon Hunters”
- Mira from “K-Pop Demon Hunters”
- Banana
Those in Roanoke are searching for deer, pumpkin and dalmatian costumes, while those in Richmond are looking to dress up as Jessica Rabbit or Chicken Jockey from “A Minecraft Movie.”
Multiple of Virginia’s picks are also trending nationwide. Notably, “K-Pop Demon Hunters” — which just released in late August — took the top five slots.
