NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The rider and passenger of a motorcycle have been seriously injured after a crash involving a marked police vehicle in Norfolk Wednesday morning.
Police say it happened around 10:30 a.m. in the 2500 block of Tidewater Drive.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that the driver of the motorcycle hit the rear of the police vehicle.
Both the driver and the passenger of the motorcycle were taken to the hospital with severe injuries. No officers were injured.
The investigation remains ongoing.
