NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach man was recently arrested in connection with a fatal shooting at Community Beach Park last August.
According to officials, around 6:20 p.m. Aug. 14, officers were dispatched to Community Beach Park in the 700 block of East Ocean View Avenue for reports of a shooting.

Officers arrived to the scene, where they were then notified of a man, later identified as Andrew F. Saafi, 20, arriving to a local hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Saafi was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police were able to determine that the two incidents were related.
On Jan. 10, officers arrested Zion K. Holmes, 20, in connection with the homicide and charged him with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony-first offense and robbery resulting in death.
Holmes is currently being held without bond in the Norfolk City Jail. An arraignment hearing that was scheduled for Monday has been continued, according to online court records, and he has an attorney review hearing Jan. 21.
