NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man was arrested after a barricade situation on E. Tanners Creek Drive in Norfolk on Saturday.
Police responded to the barricade situation in the 6900 block of E. Tanners Drive. around 8 a.m. after receiving a report of domestic violence.
Officers were unable to contact the suspect when they arrived at the scene, but after several hours with help from the Hostage/Crisis Negotiation Team and Special Operations Team the suspect, 34-year-old Nahim B. Anderson, was taken into custody without incident.
He’s charged with one count of attempted malicious wounding, three counts of strangulation, four counts of abduction, three counts of child endangerment, possession of firearm by felon and domestic assault.
He’s being held without bond.
