NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Police say one woman has been charged in the stabbing death of a 19-year-old woman in Norfolk Tuesday afternoon.
Police say 20-year-old Armani N. Alexander is charged with second-degree murder.
They also released the identity of the stabbing victim, 19-year-old Tamia D. Benton.
Police say the stabbing happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 3500 block of Mangrove Avenue.
Police arrived to find Benton suffering from a stab wounding.
She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Detectives have not released the motive or any of the circumstances surrounding this stabbing.
The investigation is ongoing.
