NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – New Realm Brewing Company will debut its new ODU Lager at Saturday’s ODU Monarchs’ football game against Liberty University in S.B. Ballard Stadium.
ODU Lager is the second beer created through the partnership between the university and the brewery. The partnership began two years ago. First on tap was the ODU Golden Ale.
“Our partnership with Old Dominion University is a natural fit because we have a mutual commitment to both community and excellence,” said Carey Falcone, CEO and co-founder of New Realm. “We are thrilled to be a part of ODU’s energy and tradition with the launch of our second collaboration.”
Royalties from the new beer will be used to fund student scholarships. Since the ODU Golden Ale launched in August 2023, the student scholarship fund received more than $16,000, according to a release from ODU.
