NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Crews in Norfolk responded to a fire early Monday morning.

According to officials, crews were called to the 2400 block of Sewells Point Road at 1:38 a.m. for the report of a residential structure fire. When crews arrived, they found a small fire in a bedroom.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire and had it under control at 1:50 a.m.

Three occupants self-extricated from the home. No firefighters or civilians were hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
