NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — CAN Community Health is opening a brand-new clinic in Norfolk!
The campus will provide comprehensive services, such as HIV, Hepatitis C, STIs and more. In addition to primary medical care, CAN offers PrEP and Doxy PEP services, telehealth, general dentistry, pharmacy and behavioral health care ensuring available care for the needy.
“We’re doubling down in Norfolk because the fight to end HIV isn’t over—especially here,” said Rishi Patel, PharmD, MBA, President and CEO, at CAN Community Health. “As HIV funding faces uncertainty nationwide, CAN Community Health is stepping up to ensure continuity of care for the Norfolk community is not left behind.”
According to CAN Community Health, Norfolk has one of the highest HIV rates in Virginia. The clinic is devoted to fighting HIV and other sexually through education and prevention.
The organization said they have been committed to empowering well-being in Norfolk since 2019. The CAN Community Health operates pharmacies across the country, including Arizona, Florida, Nevada, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia for more than 30 years.
