10 fast charging stalls added to Norfolk Premium Outlets

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Norfolk Premium Outlets announced on Monday the addition of fast charging stalls for public use.

According to a release, 10 Leven 3/DC fast charging stalls are now available for public use just off of Premium Outlets Boulevard in the parking lot near the Old Navy entrance. All electric vehicles, regardless of make or model, will be able to use the chargers, which are part of the Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging network.

The release states that two of the 10 stalls will have dedicated 400 kW power, some of the fastest charging speeds available to the public in the United States. The other stalls will offer charging speeds up to 400 kW, splitting the power evenly while two vehicles are charging at once.

“We’re proud to be a shopping center for the future — not just for drivers, but for the greater Hampton Roads community,” General Manager at Norfolk Premium Outlets Wendy Ellis said. “By investing in infrastructure like this, we’re making it easier for shoppers to embrace cleaner transportation without sacrificing convenience or speed.”

Some of the key features of the new charging stalls can be found below:

“Norfolk Premium Outlets is the latest installation in our strategic partnership with Simon and a great location for EV drivers to recharge their car and themselves,” VP of Origination at Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging Sharon Baker said. “Drivers can grab a coffee, visit the shops, or even stretch their legs on the lake walk — a perfect mix of amenities to turn charging time into time well spent.”
