NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Fire-Rescue is investigating an apartment fire that happened on Sunday.
Firefighters responded to Mariner’s Watch, located at 440 Mariner’s Way, around 9 a.m. on Saturday for a report of smoke coming from the roof.
Upon arrival, crews found light smoke showing from the front of the structure and the roof line. They found a fire in the hallway and quickly extinguished it. Fire control was called at approximately 9:10 a.m.
There were no injuries reported and assistance from the Red Cross was not needed.
The incident is under investigation.
