NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A crash involving an HRT bus caused delays on I-664 in Newport News.
WAVY sent a traffic push alert to mobile devices alerting of the delays Friday morning.
The two-vehicle crash involved a bus and Chevrolet Malibu. Officials said 16 passengers were on the bus, but none were injured. The Malibu veered to the left to avoid stopped traffic and was sideswiped by the HRT bus that was traveling right of way in the lane, police said.
The driver of the Malibu was charged with failure to obey highway markings.
