YORK-POQUOSON COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A man and woman were arrested after a vehicle stop led to the seizure of suspected illegal narcotics and firearms in Yorktown.

On Tuesday, a York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office deputy initiated a vehicle stop for a traffic violation in the area of Victory Boulevard and Kiln Creek Parkway at approximately 11:45 p.m.

Upon initial investigation, the deputy learned that the driver and female passenger had suspended driver’s licenses. The deputy subsequently seized suspected illegal narcotics and five firearms in the vehicle, including three handguns, one semi-automatic rifle and one shotgun. One of the firearms was concealed on the driver of the vehicle.

The driver and the passenger were both arrested and charged with multiple felonies.

The driver, Stephen Tyler Bynum, 33, was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute heroin, five counts of possession of firearm while selling schedule 1 or 2 drugs and driving on a suspended driver’s license.

The passenger, Amanda Dellaposta Deanglo, 44, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance.

Bynum is currently incarcerated in the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
