BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A man has died, and a woman is seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in Brunswick County, according to Virginia State Police.
It happened on Kress Road at approximately 10:35 p.m.
A man, identified as 77-year-old Ronald L. Mayo, was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram westbound on Kress Road at the intersection of Red Oak Road when it went off of the left side of the road and struck a tree. The vehicle then ran off of the right side of the road and came to a stop.
The passenger, identified as 75-year-old Annie P. Mayo, suffered serious injuries.
Both the driver and passenger were wearing seatbelts.
The crash remains under investigation.
