On March 3, just after 9:30 p.m., agents with the JCCPD Tri-Rivers Drug Task Force saw Brokenberry walking toward a vehicle at the Stations at Norge Apartments. After making initial contact, Brokenberry fled on foot toward a wooded area. Due to Brokenberry’s history, York Poquoson Sheriff’s Office K-9 Units and JCCPD’s Specialized Response Team Drone Pilots were called for assistance.

After just two minutes of drone assistance, Brokenberry was found with thermal imaging, prompting the K-9 Units to head toward his location. Brokenberry was then taken into custody without incident.

Brokenberry is now being held at Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
