HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Westbound Interstate 64 remained closed Wednesday night into Thursday morning after a crash near the I-664 interchange, the Virginia Department of Transportation said.
The crash happened earlier in the evening Wednesday, just before 9 p.m., and I-64 at mile marker 265.2 has been closed for several hours, and was still closed as of 12:45 a.m. Thursday morning.
VDOT cameras indicate a westbound lane had reopened after 1 a.m. Thursday.
A detour is in place at the I-664 interchange at exit 264.
Initially, eastbound I-64 lanes in that area were closed, but those lanes reopened within about 20 minutes
There is no word on any injuries or details of the crash.
