HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton Police say they are investigating a vehicle crash in which one man was found dead and with gunshot wounds.
Police say they responded to a vehicle crash in a parking lot in the 200 block of Marcella Road at 8:48 p.m. Tuesday.
They arrived to find one man with gunshot injuries in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities identified the victim as 28-year-old Norfolk resident John D. Bunch.
Police did not say whether the gunshot wounds or crash –or both — contributed to the victim’s death.
Police have identified a man wanted in connection to the killing.
Hampton police are searching for 28-year-old Kantrell Deshun Thompson. He is from Hampton.
Police have filed warrants against Thompson including murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
