HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – A man was struck by gunfire Tuesday night after traveling near the intersection of Diggs Drive and Greenwell Drive, according to Hampton police.
Officers say the incident happened around 8:07 p.m., where the victim was traveling eastbound on Greenwell Drive and preparing to make a right turn southbound on Diggs Drive. The victim’s car was then hit by gunfire and he received non life-threatening injuries.
Two vehicles and homes were also struck by gunfire. The vehicles were unoccupied at the time and those located inside the residences were unharmed.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
