HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia State Police are investigating after an interstate shooting closed all southbound lanes of I-664 in Hampton on Saturday afternoon.
A preliminary investigation of the incident revealed that a gray 2011 Hyundai Sonata and a dark blue 2011 Dodge Journey SUV were traveling southbound I-664 when the shooting happened.

Eyewitnesses at the scene claimed seeing several black men exit the Hyundai and flee from the scene.
When they got to the scene, troopers found a 24-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
