HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton Police say one victim involved in a crash on Dec. 6 has died.
Alfred “Freddie” Deloatch died Christmas Eve. He was 54.
Deloatch was one of two people involved in the two-vehicle crash, in the 500 block of Aberdeen Road at 58th Street. Family members say he was left with severe brain injuries. The other victim in the crash. which family identified as Deloatch’s brother, also sustained serious injuries, but is doing much better.
Family and friends held a vigil for Deloatch Friday night at the scene of the accident to call for justice.
Hampton Police say no charges have been filed or tickets issued thus far, but the investigation is still open.
