HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A Newport News man died after being shot in Hampton late Sunday night.
Emergency communications received a call around 11:32 p.m. for a shots fired in the first block of Wythe Creek Road.
When officers arrived on scene, they located the man who had been struck by gunfire in the parking lot of a business. He was pronounced dead at the scene and identified on Tuesday as 24-year-old Amadre’ Jovon Deloatch.
No other details are available but the investigation is ongoing.
