HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A 62-year-old motorcyclist has died after colliding with a pick-up truck in Hampton on Saturday afternoon.
Hampton Public Safety Communications received a call around 5 p.m. in reference to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Victoria Boulevard and Greenbriar Avenue.
Police arrived to find a motorcycle and pick-up truck had been involved in a crash. The truck had flipped onto its side following the crash.
The driver of the pick-up truck was taken to a local hospital. The rider of the motorcycle, later identified as 62-year-old Randolph Williams, was found unresponsive and pronounced deceased on scene by members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue.
The preliminary investigation revealed Williams was traveling westbound on Victoria Boulevard when it collided with a pick-up truck driver traveling northbound on Greenbriar Avenue, crossing Victoria Boulevard.
The incident remains under investigation.
