NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia State Police issued a critically missing adult alert on behalf of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service for Angelina Petra Resendiz, who was last seen around 10 a.m. May 29 at her barracks in Miller Hall at Naval Station Norfolk.
Resendiz, 21, is 5-feet tall, 110 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing an unknown description of clothing with no known vehicle.
One of Resendiz’s friends spoke to NewsNation, saying she is not holding up well since she learned of Angelina’s disappearance.
“Very scared. Very nervous. It’s very out of character for Angie to act this way. We have no earthly idea what could be going on. Everyone in her circle is scared. Not like Angie at all.”
NewsNation reported that the last person Resendiz was seen with showed up to work on Monday, but Angelina did not. Her friend from Texas added it feels suspicious.
“I have no idea who it is. That person has not been, their name has not been released by the police or any any form of fashion.”
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service said her disappearance poses a credible threat to their health and safety.
10 On Your Side reached out to the Navy, which provided this statement June 6:
