CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that severely injured one person in Chesapeake Saturday afternoon, according to police.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Military Highway around 4:40 p.m. in reference to reports of a shooting involving two vehicles.

When officers arrived, they located one individual who had sustained serious injuries. The individual was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

On Sunday, 40-year-old Ronaldo Bartholomew was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges related to the incident. He is currently being held without bond at the Chesapeake Correctional Center.
