CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A power outage in Chesapeake impacted nearly 2,000 people Wednesday afternoon.

According to Dominion Energy, as of 12:30 p.m., more than 1,900 customers were without power.

Dominion Energy also responded to the closure of Battlefield Boulevard South, between Hanbury Road and Hillwell Road due to the power outage and a transformer down in the area. There is currently no ETA for reopening.
