The exhibition, which is being loaned in a partnership with the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, focuses on Virginia’s leading role during the American Revolution.

This includes prominent figures such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry while also exploring the impact of regular people during the time that molded or were a model of democratic government we see today.

Companion books will also be available to purchase in the museum giftshop, but visiting the exhibit itself will be covered with the cost of admission.

If you would like to visit the traveling exhibition, it can be viewed during regular museum hours until Aug. 23.
