Driver charged with DUI after woman dies in crash on Battlefield Blvd in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A woman has died following a crash in Chesapeake Tuesday night.

According to police, officers were called to the intersection of Battlefield Boulevard and Volvo Parkway just before 10 p.m. for the report of a serious motor vehicle crash.


After investigating, it was revealed that a Pontiac SUV was traveling southbound on North Battlefield Boulevard in the left turn lane approaching Volvo Parkway when they attempted a U-turn. They were then struck on the passenger side by a Jeep SUV that was traveling northbound in the through lane.

46-year-old Ali Renee Harrison of Norfolk was a backseat passenger in the Pontiac. She was taken to the hospital where she later died.

The driver of the Pontiac, 38 year-old Travis Bulloch, has been charged with two DUI-related offenses, making this his third DUI related offense within 10 years, according to police.
