CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – The City of Chesapeake issued a traffic alert Tuesday afternoon regarding high water.
Crews shut down Indian Creek Rd. at Baum Rd. to traffic in both directions just before 12:30 p.m. because of high water on the road and posted signage alerting motorists.
If you encounter flooding, drive with extreme caution.
A WAVY viewer who lives in Chesapeake sent in a picture of flooding in her neighborhood, around the same time. She lives at the Chesapeake Point Apartments on Towne Point Rd.
This is what she saw when she opened her car door Tuesday afternoon.
