NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Four Norfolk Public Library branches are extending their hours of operation.
Starting this week, Slover Library extended its Monday hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will continue its normal operating hours the rest of the week. That’s 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Meanwhile, Jordan-Newby Anchor Branch at Broad Creek, Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch and Richard A. Tucker Memorial Library are now open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays. The rest of the week will stay on normal operating hours, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
All four of the locations, which are considered “anchor branches” for the library system, will remain closed on Sundays, the city says.
