VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A man was arrested on Friday in connection with a 2022 shooting that left a 15-year-old dead.
According to officials, on Oct. 30, 2022, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Friendship Square for reports of a gunshot wound victim.
Officers arrived to the scene and found a 15-year-old with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. The teen was removed from life support and pronounced dead on Nov. 2, 2022.
Following an investigation, officers arrested 20-year-old Taveyoine Nishaun Davis on June 7, 2024.
Davis was charged with first degree murder, unlawful use of a firearm and gang participation in connection with a fatal shooting, according to police.
