HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – A man has died following a Sunday night shooting in Hampton.
According to police, officers were called to the 100 block of Woodland Road at 10:40 p.m. for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as 33-year-old Dante Wingate, lying outside with multiple gunshot wounds.
Members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue transported him to the local hospital where he later died.
There is no suspect information at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
