NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Police took an armed fugitive into custody on Thursday.
According to Newport News Police, they were dispatched to the 900 block of Lucas Creek Road to find 23-year-old Devinn Baker.
Officers found Baker and noticed he had a gun on him at the time. Police say they took Baker into custody and confiscated the gun without any trouble.
Officers say they detected the smell of marijuana coming from the residence Baker was at and, after searching the home, they confiscated the marijuana and another gun.
Baker was arrested for an outstanding warrant for a probation violation and was additionally charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
