HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Two teenagers are facing charges after a Family Dollar in Hampton was robbed late last week.
Hampton Police said in a news release officers were called to the store in the 2300 block of Kecoughtan Road just after 1 p.m. on Friday, April 19.
An investigation found 16-year-old males walked inside the store, pulled out guns and demanded money. The two then fled the scene with cash, police said.
Responding officers found the two suspects, and arrested them after a short foot chase. No injuries were reported, police said.
One of the teens is charged with use of a firearm in commission of a felony, two counts of abduction, robbery, possession of a firearm by a juvenile, reckless handling of a firearm and wearing a mask in public.
The other teen is charged with robbery, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and one count of wearing a mask in public.
