ACCOMAC, Va. (WAVY) — Two suspects are now in custody in connection to a series of bomb threats made to several public schools in Accomack County.

On Tuesday, a 12-year-old was arrested and charged with 14 counts of threat to bomb or burn a building. 

This comes after new threats were made to Accawmacke Elementary School and Nandua Middle School this week. According to the Accomack Sheriff’s Office, Accawmacke Elementary and Nandua Middle both received threats on Monday, with Nandua Middle receiving another threat on Tuesday. 

Also on Monday, a 17-year-old was arrested and charged with one count of threat to bomb or burn a building in connection to threats against Accawmacke Elementary, Nandua Middle and Nandua High School that were made on May 4. 

Both are being held without bond at Norfolk Detention Center. 

The threats brought multiple law enforcement agencies together in an effort to apprehend the suspects, including Virginia State Police, the Accomack Sheriff’s Office, the Exmore, Onley and Onancock police departments and even the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office.
