NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Zoo will be hosting their third annual Teddy Bear Clinic event to ease children’s fears of going to the doctor’s office.

Sponsored by Towne Bank, the Teddy Bear Clinic will happen at Virginia Zoo on 3500 Granby Street on Saturday, Aug. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The event features a Zoo Tales show at the ZooLive! Stage, six stations where a medical exam on kids’ stuffed animals teaches them about medical practices and two 30-minute Diet Kitchen Keeper Chats with the zoo’s experts.

The event is free with general admission.
