Norfolk

Breakfast of Champions

On Sunday, Jan. 28 from noon to 4 p.m. Smartmouth Beer is hosting Breakfast of Champions. With pop-ups, community meetups and live music. Breakfast specials will be available from Ghost Kitchen and JMT Vegan Eats. The event features a beer release “Drizzle” a blueberry maple stout. The event is free and open to the public.

Jam’n Jamz

On Saturday, Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. visit Lafayette Park for the annual fruit and nut tree giveaway for Norfolk residents. At the events, hundreds of trees will be available. Plant a tree in your yard in an effort to help increase Norfolk’s Tree Canopy. It will be first come, first serve, so get there early to secure your tree. The trees are free and available for City of Norfolk residents.

IgNITE: Fan-da-Mania

The first ever IgNITE is taking place Friday, Jan. 26 from 7-10 p.m. at the Chrysler Museum of Art. The 21+ event will feature music from your favorite performers. Listen to the music, and enjoy the museum at night. Get ready for a moment on the red carpet, pose at photo opportunities and more. Between the music, explore the galleries. Tickets are required and cost $20 for non-members, $10 for members. Registration is recommended. Tickets increase by $10 at the door. Click here to register. The quarterly event will return in April.

Portsmouth Restaurant Week

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Art Show and Sale

The 38th annual art show is back. The annual 10-day show kicks off on Saturday, Jan. 27. Until Feb. 4, visit and see artworks from over 150 local and regional artists. There is something for everyone with fine art, handcrafted jewelry, pottery, glass art, sculpture and more. Admission to the event is free and it is open to all. Virginia Beach Sports Card, Comic Book, Pokemon and Collectibles Expo

On Jan. 27 and 28 visit the Virginia Beach Fieldhouse for the a weekend full of sports cards, comic books, Pokémon, toys and collectibles. On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the fieldhouse will be full of over 250 vendor tables. There will be a autograph guest lineup. JSA will be on-site to authentic autographs. There will also be opportunity for dcsports87 to take eBay consignments. Admission to the event is free and open to all.

Williamsburg

Last Word Comedy Festival
