After hearing the ghosts plead their case, the audience will pass judgement to either allow them to move on to their eternal reward or not. Boo Bash at the Beach

Description: Enjoy a day at the Jamestown Beach Event Park with a Halloween twist! Costumes welcome. Trick-or-treating onsite for ages 12 and younger. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Enjoy onsite activities, music, games, and more! Pumpkin carving and decorating are available first-come, first-served while supplies last.
How much: $5 for parking and an additional $5 for pumpkin carving and decorating.
Family Frights at Jamestown Settlement
Where: 2110 Jamestown Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23185

Description: Get a taste of what’s to come with an array of giant sweet treats that greet visitors at a candy-themed check-in, then pass by opportunities for face painting and ghostly games. Enter the outdoor areas through the enchanted forest where mermaids and mythical creatures roam free. Sing-along with spooky songs from the Cigar Box String Band and join in the faerie festival along the riverfront featuring pixies, sprites, nymphs and other pointy-eared creatures. Haunting story tales from Greg Glewwe and the electric sounds of the theremin played by Caroline Scruggs echo from the re-created fort, as smoke, lanterns and sound effects create a captivating setting fit for the royalty of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table.

Anvil Campground Fall Weekends Series

Description: Join Williamsburg’s most awarded campground for free snow cones, barrel train rides, a rubber ducky hunt, kettle corn & candy corn, golf cart ice cream treats, coffee, and donuts all while engaging in fall-themed activities. Donations go towards The V Foundation.

Halloween International Film Festival

Description: The festival hosts three days of showcasing shorts and features works from around the globe to celebrate the unusual horrors of Halloween. Showings will include Q&A sessions with attending filmmakers, orange carpet photo ops, Halloween vendor markets, and Halloween Island festivities. Graveyard Atlantic, considered one of the most haunted places in all of America due hundreds of shipwrecks, is home to the Pioneer Theater.
How much: $20 a day for single day tickets, $50 for 3-day passes, and $75 for VIP 3-day passes. 2-day tickets are $35. Tickets can be purchased here.
Halloween Island

Description: For the month of October, Manteo transforms into Halloween Island as bars in the Downtown Manteo Social District are transformed into Halloween pop-ups. 13 lodging inns will be transformed into an eerie and haunting experience, with 13 events occurring over the month including the Dare to Scare 5K, OBX Ghost Tours, haunted booze cruises, pumpkin carving, and many more. Outer Banks Halloween Parade of Costumes

Description: Join the Outer Banks for a free, open to all ages, trick-or-treating parade provided by local nonprofit organizations and businesses. A costume contest will immediately follow the parade with three categories for ages 12 and under, 13 and up, and groups. Don’t miss out on the annual parade, rain or shine!
How much: Free for all with free parking located at nearby First Flight schools.
Island Farm 14th Annual Pumpkin Patch

Description: Enjoy Island Farm’s 14th Annual Pumpkin Patch filled with historical games, fall arts and crafts including doll crafting, candle making, apple cider and popcorn samplings, mazes, corn tunnels, and more all included with admission costs. A local market of arts, crafts, food, and local will be available for purchase.
How much: $11 for ages 4+, free for children 3 years or younger.
A Night of 1587 Pumpkins
Where: 1411 National Park Drive, Manteo, NC 27954
When: Oct. 25, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Description: Commemorating 1587 when English colonists came to Roanoke Island, the Elizabethan Gardens will attempt to light 1,587 jack-o-lanterns in an evening consisting of trick-or-treating, contests, and pumpkin carving to add to the path. The gardens will have glow sticks, hot chocolate, apple cider, and s’more packs for sale. Pumpkins can also be carved on Oct. 23 and Oct. 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to be used and taken home after the lighting of 1,587 jack-o-lanterns.
