PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — The Portsmouth Department of Economic Development announced three community events in August.
The events are being hosted by Portsmouth@Work and the Portsmouth Police Department to provide valuable resources and employment opportunities for attendees and will be held on-site in three communities: , J.E. Parker Recreation Center, Southside and London Oaks.
The events are scheduled for the first three Wednesdays in August:
- Wednesday, Aug. 7: J.E. Parker Recreation Center — 2430 Turnpike Road
- Wednesday, Aug. 14: Southside — 707 7th Street
- Wednesday: Aug. 21: London Oaks — 2680 High Street
All events run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include schools supplies, family fun activities, games and the Portsmouth Police Department Command Bus.
