ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — The 2024 Coast Guard Marathon is taking over Elizabeth City this weekend.
The races start on Saturday, April 5 with a Coast Guard 5K. The Coast Guard Half Marathon and Marathon start at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. Those festivities will go through at least 4 p.m. with the post-race celebrations.
The marathon route runs through downtown Elizabeth City and various residential neighborhoods, and goes onto Base Elizabeth City.
