PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – The homes are coming together thanks in part to the hard work put in by volunteers. WAVY-TV 10 and The Hampton Roads Show are teaming up with Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads for this year’s ‘Women Build Weeks’. It’s a chance for women to gain skills on a build site, learn the construction trade and help provide affordable shelter for a deserving family. Friday was the last day for Women Build Weeks, but the work continues and there’s still opportunity to get involved and volunteer. The Hampton Roads Show is getting the word out that Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads is looking for volunteers, sponsors, donations to help make it all work.
