PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – If you’re a mom, you know a lot is required when you’re expecting. However, there are some who struggle to afford all the items necessary to feel prepared when their newborn arrives. The organization “Lend A Secondhand” is trying to change that. Founding director Tra-Vel Adams and President Ashley Adams joined The Hampton Roads Show to talk about their upcoming event. The “Showering the City” event is Saturday, Feb. 15 from 12-3 p.m. at the North Hampton Community Center. They’re looking for volunteers as well as donations.
