Norfolk SPCA has goal of 150 adoptions by end of August

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — At the Norfolk SPCA during Clear the Shelters month, they have more than 100 animals ready for adoption, with a goal of getting 150 animals adopted by the end of August.

There are cats and dogs of all ages, a couple guinea pigs, and even a bunny looking for their fur-ever homes.

Throughout the month of August, the Norfolk SPCA is offering $30 off all adoptions, and Tuesdays, cats are buy one, get one 50% off, and pets that have been returned are free. In the last week of August, senior pets will also be free.

If you can’t adopt, you can donate.

Kennel sponsorships range from $250 to $10,000 and they cover everything the animal in that kennel needs, including food, surgeries and vaccines. You’ll even get a plaque with your name on the kennel.

Sponsorships can be made on the Norfolk SPCA website under the donate tab. The Norfolk SPCA is open daily from 12:30 to 6 p.m.
