SAN DIEGO (Border Report) — The iconic metal band Iron Maiden is bringing its “Run for Your Lives” tour to Mexico City next year.
The group first visited Mexico 34 years ago, and has since made 12 separate appearances.
The upcoming concert will be held at Mexico City’s GNP Seguros Stadium on Oct. 2, 2026.

The announcement was made on Iron Maiden’s social media X account.
Iron Maiden began playing 50 years ago, releasing its first studio album in 1980.
Most of the original members including lead singer Bruce Dickinson remain with the band.
Its brand has been described as “new wave British heavy metal.”
Iron Maiden has sold over 130 million copies of their albums around the world with songs written about history, literature, war, mythology, dark fantasy, science fiction, society and religion.
The group is perhaps known better for its mascot, a zombie-like creature named “Eddie the Head.” It has been featured on all the band’s album covers since 1980.
Iron Maiden will also perform in Los Angeles on Sept. 25, and in San Antonio on Sept. 29.
Tickets go on sale later this month.
