(WAVY) — For those looking to get out on the water this weekend, you are in luck. Dry weather is looking to fill into Hampton Roads along with comfortable afternoon highs in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.
Along with this comes low humidity after a front pushes through the area early Saturday morning. There should not be much rain with this front as it will be coming in out of the northwest. Any rain that does occur Saturday will be very light and quick hitting due to the dry air around.
With small surf at the beach the rip current risk should stay low but check in with local lifeguards from time to time. A steady northeast breeze could cause more rip currents especially in between tides.
When it comes to boating, we are looking at great weather to head out on the water. Seas may be a little bumpy due to the northeast wind but it should be manageable.
Let’s talk surf! Unfortunately, northeast winds will not allow for the best of conditions so if you want to catch a few waves your best bet will be on your longboard. For the most size try to target the Outer Banks on Monday as the northeasterly wind swell picks up a little more. There could be a few fun waist high sets at times.
See you in the water!
