With Harborfest going on this weekend, and many of us with some weekend plans, it’s a bit of a bummer that the rain chances linger through the weekend. But we’re optimistic that Friday shapes up into a nice afternoon and evening to enjoy!
Track 1
Waitin’ On A Sunny Day by Bruce Springsteen
After the damp conditions persist through Friday morning, with on and off light rainfall, we’ll be waiting for that sun to peak back out. We’re optimistic that the coastal low moves out Friday afternoon and some drier weather, including sunshine, squeezes in by the afternoon and evening. Plus, temperatures will be pinned around 80° so it should be a lot more comfortable.
Track 2
Movin’ Out by Billy Joel
So the coastal low will move out on Friday afternoon and evening… but that opens up the door for our next frontal system to move in for the weekend. This could set up a round of scattered showers and thunderstorms Saturday — some of these could be on the strong to severe side, so let’s be sure to stay weather aware. Especially if we have those outdoor plans! It’ll be hot and humid, too, with highs in the 80s.
Track 3
Stuck Like Glue by Sugarland
Typical of the summer season… front’s usually don’t make it through the region, they stall! So the approaching front Saturday stalls out and we’ll be stuck with it through Sunday. This means another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop on Sunday. There should still be some dry time and sunshine peaking out throughout the day — as a result, highs will be in the mid 80s with that summer-like humidity.

The summer-like pattern sets up for most of next week, too, meaning those pesky daily downpours are in the forecast for the majority of the 7-day.
Have a great weekend!
