We should challenge our 6th day 90° day in a row as we kick off the weekend… the heat will hold through Saturday and Sunday as well. But as we progress through the weekend, we start to slowly, slowly break it all down. The end is in sight!
Track 1
1,000 Julys by Third Eye Blind
The heat index remains elevated as long as the humidity remains ripe… Under the hot summer sun, it’ll feel like a thousand Julys worth of heat. Heat index values will hold around 100°+ Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Potentially through Monday and Tuesday as well!
Track 2
Breakdown by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
The big heat dome slowly slides offshore over the weekend and in doing so it’ll initiate a breakdown in this heat. We’ll allow a few more showers or downpours to pop up in our afternoon and evening hours for Friday and Saturday. Sunday, however, we’ll bring in a better chance at those summer thunderstorms to cool us off in the late day hours.
Track 3
Help Is On The Way by Rise Against
Sunday’s late day showers and thunderstorms calls for reinforcements, and daily rain chances arrive as we head into next week. This should help cool us off in those hot afternoon hours, but it also brings in the light at the end of the tunnel. A nearing front arrives sometime midweek next week to bring us some heat relief.

But until then… we still have to beat the heat this weekend!
