Time of my life; last day as a WAVY digital intern

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — After four months, my time as a WAVY digital intern has come to an end.

I still remember the nervous feeling I had first walking into WAVY; however, over time, those nerves quickly turned into confidence. Since then, I have been able to learn and grow so much. From experiences such as shadowing producers, watching tapings and writing my own web articles, I have gained knowledge that I will be able to take with me for the rest of my life.

I would like to thank my internship coordinator, Stephanie Cooke, for allowing me to have this opportunity. I would also like to thank everyone on the digital team for being so welcoming and teaching me the importance of WAVY’s digital presence. Lastly, I would like to thank my supervisor, Jane Alvarez-Wertz, for believing in me and teaching me ways to elevate my writing abilities.

This experience was nothing less than exceptional and I will forever be grateful for it. With that being said…. WAVY, thank you!
