PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – These past couple of weeks, I’ve really been able to continue on with my time at the Hampton Roads Show! I’ve been able to get to know the new host of the Hampton Roads Show, Patrice Covington, continue floor directing, write articles for the WAVY website, and work on taking BTS photos as well as content for social media!
Next week, all of the interns plan to check in together for a lunch-and-learn session, and I’m so excited to hear what everyone else has been able to do in other departments with their internship so far!
I also plan to shadow the sales/promotions departments, and even the departments in the newsroom next week! I’m so excited to take in as much information as possible and see what other areas may interest me at my time here like field reporting, working the assignment desk or understanding what goes on in a sales meeting!
I can’t wait to continue on my internship journey with the Hampton Roads Show and shadow other departments as my time continues here with WAVY-TV 10!
